Anyone own a Miraclesuit?
Why are bathing suits so damn expensive? Why should I spend $150 to look like shit on the beach?
Anyway - does anyone own a flattering bathing suit, or a Miraclesuit?

Re: Anyone own a Miraclesuit?
IMO you have to wear a suit to flatter your body type - it doesn't have to be $150, or $500 ........- You also have to find something that you feel comfrotable in (or, as comfrotable as you can feel in a bathing suit) - because how you walk, stand, carry yourself, in general makes a HUGE difference in how you look in any peice of clothing.
When you think about it, it's a piece of spandex over your naked body - You're not going to hide 10, 20, 50 extra lbs no matter how much you spend (and I mean "you" as the general you, not you personally!) Try to find something that will accentuate your good parts and camoflage the ones you're not loving at the moment.
I have a few of those retro looking Esther William type suits that look cute, a few tannkins with a longer top ..... You really have to try stuff on.

Miracle Suits are thick fabric. I hate that feeling that the suit never dries completely and the compression bothers me. I love Land's End tankini separates. I am by no means thin, I do wear a plus size. The tankinis are comfortable and I FEEL comfortable in them. I prefer the skirted bottoms. I have so many pieces that I mix and match, and have two of the new swim tunic tops to wear as well. This year I bought a bikini top to wear under the tunic tops on the days we will be inthe sun all day and I want a little more coverage. Won't bear my belly in public though, I do draw the line at that.
My philosophy is : I am going to the beach, pool for my enjoyment. If someone does not like the way I look, don't look at me.

I do not own one, I never heard of the brand frankly, but perhaps they were the ones with the technology first? Like the WonderBra and then everyone jumped on the band wagon?

I agree 100%. I'm a size 16 waist (would love to shrink that down, lol) with a size 22 bust (my boobs are HUGE). I prefer tankinis because I can usually mix & match sizes. I really REALLY want to try the fat-girl bikini, with the high-waisted bottoms and bikini top, I think that would look HOT on me.

I do, I like them. It is a thicker material but it doesn't bother me. I ordered them thru Lands End and was able to order the bra size I needed too. Read the reviews. I think you get a discount code if you sign up for the email. I wound up paying under 100 since there was a sale too.

Re: Anyone own a Miraclesuit?
Last year, I went to Marshalls and found a few that look decent on me. I also have a large chest and a big ass LOL.
I have also ordered in the past from Lands End and have been satisfied.

Re: Anyone own a Miraclesuit?
Swimsuitsforall.com it has made buying and wearing bathing suits great. I am by no stretch of the imagination thin. I get compliments from strangers on my bathing suits every time I wear them from both men and women. I have spent as little as $10 and as much as $120 from them and have loved every one of them.

Re: Anyone own a Miraclesuit?
I got fitted for mine at Linda's Bra's in the city. I love it. It was pricey (a tankini and black bottom) but it's now 3 years old and still kept its shape.
I love it.
