How many treats do you give your dogs a day? What kind of treats?

My guy is 25lbs. We have always given him the puppy treats because they are small. Old Mother Hubbard.

We cut them in half because he is a wh0re for a treat. He gets one (half) when he comes in from doing his business. We have to be careful because he thinks that he gets one EVERY time he comes back.

Wh0re.

Then for a TREAT we give him the non smelly bully sticks. Elk horns. I have some other stuff. He ONLY gets made in USA..or rather he gets NOTHING from China.

He also does not get any rawhide at all. Its not good for them so he has never gotten any.

I also have some bags of "lean treats" from the vet. You can only get them from the vet. They are cheep and he loves them.

The only treats that my dog gets (1yo Husky) are natural treats. Carrots, peanut butter etc.

My little girl only got two biscuits a day and always after dinner, She loved the mild bones. Carrots, apples etc at times too

Agreed with the no treats from China! There's a brand, Milo's Kitchen, that are natural dog treats that my pups like. I can't give them anything like rawhide or pigs ears because my pit will finish hers in 2.5 seconds and then try to take my other pup's treat and a fight will ensue. I'm also bad about giving them table scraps (dog safe table scraps, of course). They know I'm a sucker. Actually, every dog knows I'm a sucker.

ETA: My parents' dogs get a treat every time they come in from a walk.... or really any time anyone walks by the treat jar.

My dogs get treats after they go out and come back from the yard when called. It helps them come back faster knowing they are going to get a treat. I'd say they get between 4-6 treats a day. They are small. Half treats, etc.

We usually give OMH treats, all natural treats, Carrots & String Beans.

Once a week, they get a bully stick or Flossie to chew.

They also love to lick the yogurt container when I'm done with it. They get it all over their faces lol

I'm laughing at these posts.
We call Bella's treats "Kitty Krack".
The minute I walk in the door, get up in the morning, make eye contact, open the kitchen cabinet, she is meowing for her treats.
She can be in a dead sleep and is right behind me in the kitchen when she hears me walk in there.

I give her no grain/no meal treats, about 10 pieces in all during the day. They are tiny things and don't interfere with her regular food.
She does not eat any kind of people food.

We give our dog around 4 small treats, he is a 80 lb lab mix. Normally he gets them at night after he does all his tricks (sit, paw, high five, beg, down, roll over, crawl, up, stay and come). I normally only buy ideal balance treats. Sometimes we try other natural type ones but he loves those.
