So sick. What do you eat.
I'm 7.5 weeks preggo. I never was this sick w my daughter. I would crave foods and then eat them. This time around I am not craving anything and its so hard for me to eat anything. I'm constantly nauseous and forcing myself to eat bc I know not eating isn't healthy. What worked for you ? Bagels? The only thing I can stomach is fruit and carbs!

Re: So sick. What do you eat.
The only thing I can consistently keep down are apples. Even carbs don't work for me. I ended up needing zofran but honestly, I still feel like crap. The only liquid I keep down is decaf tea with lemon.
I'm so sorry you're sick, I'm in the same boat and I wouldn't wish it on anyone

So sick. What do you eat.
Bagels like crazy in my first trimester; that's actually all I could eat.

Re: So sick. What do you eat.
I had really bad nausea with both kids from 6-8 weeks along with dizzy spells from low blood pressure so I had to eat. No choice :/ . It was hard bc I had to bring DS to all of his sports programs and I would be so weak and dizzy. What helped for me was cold applesauce- I would bring the little packs with me in my bag. Also dry carbs helped like nut thins crackers with some cold cheese and hummas. Also bananas, lemonade, lentil soup, cold grapes, ginger teas. The key is to not let yourself go for a long time without eating or snacking lightly.

I feel the same. Cold food seems to be better. just thinking of food makes me feel awful. Pinterest had so many food posts i can even go on anymore because it bothers my stomach. Unfortunately i can't eat a lot of carbs because of the celiac so i am sticking to a lot of fruit

Re: So sick. What do you eat.
I found lemon/lime to be helpful - also ginger. There was about a week when all that helped was veggie chips - no idea why - maybe the salt? But I ate a bag a day.

So sick. What do you eat.
When I was sick until about week 13, I ate a lot of bagels and chicken soup was a savior for lunch. Dinner I just cooked for DH and ate what I could which was usually just a few bites of whatever carb I made with the meal.

Re: So sick. What do you eat.
Cold helps a lot with nausea. My former mother in law recommended freezing grapes and that was great also! I always found dry carbs like bagels, crackers, dry breads helped along with sour/tart fruits. I would carry around the single pack orange juices too. I hope it's it's over soon for you!

So sick. What do you eat.
With #1 all that helped were carbs - cereal, pizza and grilled cheese. This pregnancy I've had 0 morning sickness and all I want are salads.

carbs, fruit and juice/iced tea. sweet drinks helped. but all of these were temporary fixes, but I take any relief I can get!

Re: So sick. What do you eat.
I didn't have any morning sickness really at all with DD so it was surprising how bad it got with this pregnancy. I just couldn't eat anything, but then would feel even more sick when my stomach was empty. Ugh. Watermelon is supposed to help. I found grapes were AWESOME for me. Like the others said, carbs was a good thing, but only certain kinds. I went through phases. For a while all I ate was Zone bars, then they made me sick so I moved onto lean cuisine pizzas. lol. After another week I moved onto pancakes. The pancakes lasted a GOOD while and were perfect lunches for me. I'm just out of first trimester now and definitely able to stomach a LOT more but still find dinners hard. Still not able to eat as healthy as I'd like. Ginger ale made with real ginger was my life saver.

Re: So sick. What do you eat.
The thought of swallowing pretty much anything when I was 7.5 weeks was SO tough. I was more STARVING to the point of nausea but it made me not want to eat!
Here's where I had success: Fruit, especially citrus Sweet Potatoes Pretzels with peanut butter Pita Chips with Hummus Waffles Trail Mix with a little chocolate chips The little packets of almonds from Trader Joes were always in my bag Always keep lots of water near you - helps with nausea
Good luck!!

Re: So sick. What do you eat.
Then stick to fruit and carbs. I never had nausea but would only want to eat what I wanted. I ate a lot of fruit while pregnant. It will get better after 12 or so weeks.

Re: So sick. What do you eat.
Try eating small little things all day.... That should help with the nausea.
With this pregnancy I haven't been able to drink water bc it makes me nauseous and gives me indigestion. I'm 35 weeks and this has been the entire time.
You will find what works, sometimes trial and error us the best way

Re: So sick. What do you eat.
If you crave fruit and carbs, eat fruit and carbs. I almost only ate pasta and bagels my first trimester. Put on 11lbs in 5 weeks. Protein made me gag! Around 13w I started a 6 week salad kick. Only put 4lbs on that trimester, so I evened out
