Why does it still hurt?
I have my son. He is an AMAZING 7 month old. He is the light of my life and I love him more than I could have ever imagined. It took 2 losses and 1 year to get him. But I have him. So why does it still hurt when I hear of someone who "just got pregnant", who wasn't trying, who didn't really even want a second so soon, etc. etc. etc. I had a c-section unexpectedly at 36 weeks after a 3 day induction to have him. That has pushed off when we could start trying (we wanted to be trying by now for #2). Why does it still sting? Will I ever have a normal reaction ever again?

Why does it still hurt?
I have been trying for my second for a while now, I have had 2 losses, most recent at 12 weeks. My DD is going to be 4 in July. I can't let myself be envious of others. I have a healthy, happy, little girl, I have a great life, great health. There may be something those people struggle with that I don't, I don't know what goes on in their life.
I think feelings like what you are feeling come down to making yourself think positively. Sure there was a time during my TTC process I felt sorry for myself, envious of others, but I realized quick that it didn't help anything and it just made me upset. So now I focus on positive thinking, and I will tell you it helps me get through a lot of shiit.
I know it's easier said than done, but you have to train your mind to go there and it will. No use dwelling on other peoples happiness when yours in right in front of you too :)

You're right... It's not even that I'm envious of this person, I actually am done with this person as of the past week, which is probably contributing to this, as other people who have told me I've been over the moon thrilled for them. I think it's more to do with the fact that I don't like this person, I think she is a mean person who has gone out of her way to embarrass and hurt "friends" of hers, and I can't help but think to myself "this person who is so horrible is about to bring in another child to this world?". I'm still reflecting, but I think that has more to do with this than anything else.

Oh I didn't realize it was one person you were speaking of. Yes, I have felt that way when I know someone is an asshole. I think it's normal.

Yeah, I didn't clarify. LOL. Our other friends I've been over the moon excited for, so I guess it really has nothing to do with my issues with myself, and more to do with my issues with her... interesting... Definitely helps to talk it out!
