Help with 2ww
Was originally posting under a fake TTC name, but I figured, why bother? Its not like I'm a super regular poster anyway. Anyhow. I'm like an idiot when it comes to my own body, so please help. I read the big thread, but for some reason I still can't wrap my head around a seemingly simple concept.
If LMP (day 1) was 6/3 when would I test? Not sure if this matters, but my period is only like 2 days long (I have a short 23/24 cycle)
Any help is appreciated!

Are you temping or using opks? If you aren't going by ovulation, I would start testing CD 23/24, when you think your AF is due.
However because you have a short cycle, I would say to temp or use opks so you know when you ovulate and have an understanding on how long your LP is (days from ovulation to period) it's usually 10-12 days I think?? Don't quote me on that, but it does need to be a certain length for proper implanting.

Do you know how long your LP is or when you typically ovulate? It's hard to say when to test if you don't know these things but if your cycle is typically 23-24 days, I personally wouldn't test earlier than that.

I have no CLUE. I haven't used a kit or temped. WE're just kinda winging it to start.

Everyone's body is different -- I never tested positive until after I missed my period.. It all depends when you ovulate .. Since you have a short cycle you can probably try end of next week..

You need to start off by getting some OPKs and testing for ovulation. I'm a 28 day cycle and ovulate around CD14 (give or take a couple days). So if you have a shorter cycle, then I would test earlier than that. Maybe every day between CD 7-14 to try and hit it. After that, I'd then wait test with HPT until 9DPO. If you're skipping the OPKs and don't know at all when you're ovulating, then I wouldn't test for pregnancy at all until I at least missed a period.

While OPKs will help you nail down a date, I don't think it's absolutely necessary, especially if you are just "winging it" in the beginning. If you're regularly 23/24 days, I'd test at around day 20/21. But maybe I just like peeing on stuff. Of course, if you ovulate late and have a short LP, you probably won't get a positive until you are due for your period or missed your period, but the ladies on this board have shown time and again just how sensitive those tests can be! I use the cheapie wondfo tests with a FRER as a back-up in the event I do get a BFP on the wondfo tests.

I have a 30-31 day cycle and usually ovulate anywhere from day 14-17. You definitely should start using an opk so you have an idea when your best bd time is.

I typically stick with 12dpo. With short cycles and if you're not sure when you O I would wait until the day Before AF is due. In your case, 6/25.

In that case, I'd personally wait until CD24 or later if you have a 24 day cycle. But know that when you're TTCing is when your typical cycles will become extremely wonky lol.
