Finished basement= getting a new survey? why???
When you finished your basement (legally), did you have to get a new survey done?
apparently our town is telling us we do which i don't understand because finishing the basement is not changing the foundation of the house.
i'm ready to scream because this is all creating a ton of problems for us and making it near impossible to get a CO.

If you are in certain towns they do. Some towns will not accept a survey more than a year old. Some, ten years old. And I know town of brookhaven needs an updated survey if you did more than $2000 worth of work. When you get your permit they ask you a cost estimate
