What's the deal with one pieces
I feel like one piece bathing suits have been kind of a fashion no no in the past.. Old lady like lol but I find some of them really cute. Are they more in style now rather than sticking with a tankini?

I'm all about the one piece this summer bc I still have a little pooch belly after having my son. lol. certain 1 pieces really disguise it and they don't look old ladyish at all!!!
I got this one that is sooo flattering!!

I got a great 1 at target. I dont think their a no no. In fact they can be quite sexy! Mine is. Its got a pattern down the center and black on the sides with a halter tie and push ups. Slimming and pushes the girls up lol I say totally go for it. Target has great ones.

Re: What's the deal with one pieces
Yes! I feel that certain one pieces are sexier than tankinis. I am in love with the one piece I bought last year. It looks so good on & I don't have to worry about my kid exposing me at the beach. I also love monokinis!

I have seen some ads on my Facebook for 1 pieces on zappos that are actually pretty hot looking.

What's the deal with one pieces
I've been wearing what I consider cute one pieces for years. I'm no Gizele, but I'm also not overweight I am just more comfortable in them and feel that I look way slimmer. I've never felt like I looked too dorky or anything. I say go for it!

What's the deal with one pieces
I have a bunch of really flattering, sext one pieces. My belly is too soft after my kids (and lack of working out lol) and I feel so much more confident in a one piece, but I get them cut high on legs with a top that shows clevage, I have a couple one shoulder that are cool. I love Tommy Bahama , La Blanca and Vix brand

exactly! Honestly unless you are very thin or very worked out and toned I think MOST women, not girls but women look better in one pieces. I find most tankinis frumpy or make you look heavier bc they cut you weird.

I normally do tankinis, but this one piece has been worth every penny (and hides a lot!):

Re: What's the deal with one pieces
I have seen some really cute one pieces and tankini's but my dh only likes bikini's on me. He says I don't need to wear anything else but doesn't get it doesn't have to be an either/or.

Re: What's the deal with one pieces
I'm envious of those who can pull off a one piece. I love some of the styles I see out now
My thighs are way too big and it just accentuates them. I even tried the higher cut ones so my thighs weren't so cut off but then I felt like a bad early 90's bathing suit commercial.

Agree I see a lot of women wearing bikinis that do not belong in them.

Re: What's the deal with one pieces
I wear what I'm most comfortable in, and what looks best on MY body -
Those retro once pieces are a very specific style - but I've been wearing them for a few years now - Works best for my hourglass, yet not exactly size 4 body.

I was at the beach this weekend and yes to that. Oh yes. And when down in Miami, it was like an epidemic there. I am talking STRING bikinis that only VS models should be wearing, on people that did not belong in a bikini at all.

Oh I don't wear a bikini, like, ever. ONLY if I'm swimming in my OWN pool and thats just b/c I don't feel like having a huge hanging bathing suit in my bathtub drying.
I wear a tankini. Fully covered. This is my "wear out in public" bathing suit. I just feel like the 2 pieces suits my body better - every one piece I've tried on feels like its suctioned to my abdomen. Image Attachment(s):

That's cute. Also, if you have a long torso, one pieces are difficult to fit.

Re: What's the deal with one pieces
I just feel like (some) tankinis are a little looser and more forgiving.
Mostly I try to never be in a bathing suit EVER, though.

Re: What's the deal with one pieces
Ive almost always worn a one piece, still do. They can be ADORABLE. I tend to like ones with vintage flair....I have this one and its my particular favorite.http://www.6pm.com/lauren-by-ralph-lauren-bel-aire-shirred-bandeau-skirted-mio-slimming-fit-one-piece-cherry-red

Re: What's the deal with one pieces
I am a size 2/4 and actually prefer a one piece. There are so many cute ones out now. I also spend a lot of time with family, my parents, etc and dont feel the need to have all my stuff hanging out LOL. I think way too many people show too much, but I guess that is the prude side of me.

Re: What's the deal with one pieces
I agree with many above. I've been wearing 1 piece bathing suits for a couple years now. I find them more flattering on my frame. Tankini's are never cut right on me and I feel like they make me look heavier than I am or even pregnant. I am on the thin size (normally a size 0/2/S in regular clothes) but have a soft 3 kids later belly so I find one pieces most flattering. The issue is my height and finding ones long enough for my frame. This year I had no luck in the length area and had to go the tankini route (which was tough to find too). I recently went on vaca with my mom. I wore a tankini the first few days. Then wore my one piece and my mom was like wow - that is so sexy! go figure!

Re: What's the deal with one pieces
I can't do it! I don't think I would look good in a one piece. I wear a bikini to beach but keep a cute coverup over it. I don't go in the water so no need for me to even wear a bathing suit. If I went to the pool on vacation I would feel more comfortable in a cute coverup or shorts/tank than a one piece.
