Childcare Recommendations
My son will be starting school in September at UCP Nassau. He is non-ambulatory and uses equipment to navigate the environment. I am a full-time teacher in Bayside. We live in Glen Cove.
I am looking for a daycare that would be able to put my son on the bus in the AM and receive him in the afternoon off the bus until I can pick him up. So theoretically about 1 hour in the AM and 1 hour or so in the PM depending on bussing.
Anyone have any suggestions? The original school we were going to use fell through and I have no idea what to do. I do not want someone coming to my home. It doesn't have to be in our area but ideally on my way to Bayside.
Thank you!

Re: Childcare Recommendations
I would call local daycares and see if they are accommodating to children with special needs. I am using a licensed home daycare for my DD in October and I mentioned that I also had a DS with special needs (he is not going to the daycare though as he will be in school) and she said if we wanted we could have the bus drop him off there after school if we needed extra coverage.
