Bleeding
TMI ALERT!
I'm a little over 6 weeks pregnant. Last night, I had some dark brown blood when I went to the bathroom. I called my RE right away and she said it's pretty common in early pregnancy. She said it was old blood since it was dark brown. It just so happened that I was scheduled for blood work and a sonogram this morning. The babies were fine, measuring well and we heard the heartbeats. She didn't see any blood on the sonogram so she's not really sure what the cause was or where it came from. I feel better having seen the babies, but I'm still a little freaked out/nervous. Has this happened to anyone?

Yup...I spotted dark brown fpr a week in the beginning. It was a subchronic hematoma. No biggie, went away on its own.

Re: Bleeding
That is scary but I have heard it's very common to have brown spotting. I haven't had it but I think it's huge you heard and saw heartbeats! I went in yesterday at exactly 6 weeks and there was no heartbeat yet....and sadly I can't even get back to the doctor due to my schedule until 9 weeks. So for the next three weeks I'll be on edge.
We really always have something to worry about but from what I hear, your situation is probably fine! If it were anything more than ordinary, I believe it would be a lot of blood that doesn't stop.

Bleeding
I will be 8 weeks tomorrow and had spotting around 6 weeks, then a gush of red blood at 6 weeks and another gush of red blood at 7 weeks. Everything is fine with my baby and they do not know why those 2 incidents happened. They put me on Progesterone and the spotting immediately stopped.

I had some spotting at 6 weeks and then again at 18 weeks - brown blood. No reason why it happened but my DS will be 1 in 2 weeks! Hope all is ok!

I had spotting at 6 weeks. My progesterone dropped. I went on suppositories and the spotting stopped.

I bled a lot during this pregnancy.
Has multiple reasons for it.
If your are Rh neg, just remind your OB.. at a point, you will need rhogam.

Thank you for responding.
If you don't mind me asking, what were the reasons? I started bleeding again this morning
I'm actually positive so my doctor said I didn't need rhogam.
