I had Pollo Paesano, boneless pieces of chicken w/fresh string beans, roasted potatoes, sweet Italian sausage w/fresh herb lemon and garlic..
BIG portions everyone walks out with bags.
My friend had a specials rosemary and lemon chicken (I think) 1/2 chicken, garlic mashed potatoes with sautéed spinach, and a dipping wine sauce.
served on what looked like a iron pan, ymm.
I don't go out often, but I do like Domenico for Italian

cafe Baci in westbury....
It's one of our favorite places as well! My only issue is that they don't take reservations because it gets packed in there on weekends.

I used to love their vodka sauce. I haven't been there since I moved to Suffolk County though.

Re: cafe Baci in westbury....
I tried it twice and both times it was horrible. Maybe because bith times were during the week? I keep hearing good things about it.
I asked where you usually go for Italian because if you said the Olive Garden it would make sense lol!
Guess I have bad luck

I had that exact dish when I went there for lunch a few months ago and it was fantastic. I need to go back and have it again.

funny. the place I do like is very popular but good food, have been around forever.
I did not like the WAIT, for a seat or dinner but that seems to be the norm on a Saturday.
on the side: MANY people love Mimms in Syosset and I hate it. I cant figure the rave but....

I've gone there a few times also, never had good food, was actually quite horrible. I've also gone on the weekend, so don't think the day of the week matters.and the portion sizes really disgust me!

Re: cafe Baci in westbury....
I was there once 15 years ago & they took our reservation then. DH ended up with stomach pains right after dinner so we never ate there again. I'd give it another shot though since I was fine..

I used to love this place but the lines were always ridiculous. Even weekday afternoons.
