where to register?
Hi. We really need to start thinking about registering. Any suggestions? Any benefits to BRU vs BBB? Thanks!

I like BRU more than BBB. I also find that long diatance folks have an easier time finding a BRU local to them.

Re: where to register?
I found that Babies 'R' Us had more of a selection in their stores than Buy Buy Baby. However, I know of a few people who had a hard time with returns/customer service at BRU so I did most of my registry at BBB. I also like that BBB accepts all Bed Bath & Beyond coupons.

I hate BRU. Their return policies suck..it did 7 years ago when I had DD and it still does now. I do agree with long distance folks having better access to BRU then BBB though.
We are registering at BBB. I love them plus they always give out 20% off coupons and they accept Bed Bath & Beyond 20% off coupons. I find their sales reps are actually knowledgeable and very helpful and IMO they have a better selection of lower priced and higher priced items then BRU. For example the high end strollers/baby gear, etc is always on display at BBB but not at every BRU.
We are also going to do a Target registry for those who don't have easy access to BBB.

Same. I've never had an issue returning anything at BRU. They even gave me a full refund on a video monitor that had broken after being used for a year and didn't have a receipt for. We were in and out in 5 minutes.

Only did bbb. They have the best selection. The brands I wanted and their return and customer service is the best. Hassle free.

The BRU customer service was atrocious! BBB all the way.

Re: where to register?
With DS I registered at BRU and I regretted it after my shower - their customer service was horrible and when I had duplicated of things it was a total PITA to try to return anything.
This time around I'm planning on doing a universal registry from MyRegistry.com, but a lot of the stuff will be from BBB. I've found that their online selection is far more substantial than BRU and I've heard great things about their customer service.

Re: where to register?
BRU customer service is a pia, and I think BBB is very good in this area. However, BRU has some basics that BBB doesn't carry. I registered in both places - BBB for the big stuff and then things like carters flannel receiving blankets, a changing pad, waterproof pads in BRU. Sort of boring stuff, but I do find their basics are better than BBB.

I just registered at BRU today and found everything I needed easily. They have a cash back incentive as well. You get a gift card back after the shower of a percentage of what your gifts came to.

I used BBB, BRU and Amazon. I haven't had any problems with returns to any of them. I also did a Target registry for the completion discount. They sent an offer for a free $20 gift card.
