Evaluation and CSE meeting questions
I had DD evaluated privately and paid out of pocket.
All testing was completed in August and we had a feedback session in end of August. At that meeting, we were given a 5 page summary and diagnosis. We were told that we would get full written report in about 8 weeks (30 pages).
I immediately contact school district, school counselor and School Psychologist. A CSE meeting to request an IEP will take place end of this month.
I have called the center where we had evaluation and asked when report would be ready and I have e mailed as well. No response!
I am pissed! I paid $$$$$$ for their services.! I feel that they did an excellent job with my DD and the evaluations and diagnosis, but it is still a business.
Does it really take 8 weeks to put together full report? Should I postpone meeting until I get it?

Re: Evaluation and CSE meeting questions
I know when we had our DS evaluations in the beginning they had 60 days to write full report and give it to me, so that sounds about right for 8 weeks, unfortunately. They usually never took the full time though, so hopefully they get it to you ahead of time.

If you have the 5 page report with the diagnosis, I would go to the meeting with that. The diagnosis is whats most important. In fact, I had my son evaluated privately and they told me NOT to provide the full report to the school, only the summary and diagnosis. They said, being that he scored "proficient" on a few of the tests given, they could use that to deny some services and they have seen it happen.

Go in with your summary. You do not need the full report. Was your daughter tested through the district as well? If not, they are most likely going to do those evaluations first before they commit to anything being proposed by your doctor.
