Nothing ready for #2!

It 's starting to hit me - we have 8 weekends left (assuming baby cooperates), and we have nothing done or purchased. We don't even have a car seat or a place for dc to sleep! And those 8 weekends include Christmas. My dd's bday and my mother's 60th bday party! So different from the first! Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I have nothing ready for #1. I'm due just before Christmas. Not only is the room not painted, it's still being used for storage and looks like a hurricane went through it. When I say we have nothing I mean NOTHING and I'm not having a shower.

I feel like I've been pregnant long enough to gestate an elephant so 7.5 weeks still feels like an eternity to me.

You're definitely not alone!

You are not alone - we are 3.5 weeks out with number 4 and all I have done is bought an outfit for the little guy to come home from the hospital in and emptied the closet where his clothes should go.
So don't worry you are not alone :)

I'm due next Friday and I didn't even finish up her bassinet since she's sleeping in our room for the first few months, lol. But everything else is done.

I was much less prepared fro #2 but I also figured, worse case I still had a bunch of things from #1, even though they were different genders! We did get her furniture delivered, and I put together a RnP about a month before she was due. Good thing since she was born 15 days early!

Generally, I found I was just much more laid back about #2 because I knew what to expect. I suspect the same is true for you.

MY daughter is 13 months and her room is still not done Chat Icon It all falls into place, all you really need are diapers, food, and something to sleep in - they can sleep anywhere. You do need that car seat though, lol.

This was us. We didn't really do anything at all until 35 weeks. Then I woke up one Saturday morning at 37 weeks and told DH "We have to finish everything right now!!". I did the rest of the laundry, made up the crib and set up DS area (His crib is in our room right now). A few hours later, I went into labor. I just had this strange feeling the baby was coming that weekend. At the end of the day, it all worked out.

To top is off, we were also team green and my first baby was almost 11lbs. When my 7lb peanut came, my SIL had to buy a whole new newborn sized wardrobe because we didn't expect him to be so small. As long as you have those few essentials, everything will be fine! You can always have someone get you stuff when you are in the hospital or just get home.

This makes me feel better! I think car seat, bassinet, bottles, formula, diapers, and undershirts and the only items we are going to get around to getting! Lol, I've never ever had any desire to attempt breast feeding, but I may be forced to if we can't even get around to buying bottles!

We just painted this weekend and now everything is disheveled from moving DS to a new room and I can barely move anything or go up the stairs a million times. So it'll take a while.

4 weeks to go!
