Round 1- Fresh cycle 2 back 1 took- miscarriage
Round 2- FET- 2 back BFN
Round 3- FET 2 back BFN
Round 4- FET 2 BFP with 1
Second time:
Round 1- Fresh cycle - 1 back- BFP with 1

I was 38.
Fresh IVF put back 2. BFN
Frozen IVF put back 3 BFP. My fraternal twin boys are 15 months old.

IF you transferred 2 (or more) embryos in IVF....
My 4th transfer worked. I transferred 2 every time. On my last IVF I transferred 2 and one stuck. I have a baby boy. I was okay with having twins thats why I was okay transferring 2.

IF you transferred 2 (or more) embryos in IVF....
1st round - Put 3 back - BFN
2nd round - Put 3 back - had 1 beautiful baby! (I was 40 at the time of IVF)

To answer the original question, we transferred 2, both implanted but only one grew. He's 3!

IVF 1: Transferred 2 - chemical pregnancy
IVF 2: Transferred 2 - got pregnant with 1, miscarried at 10 weeks
FET 3: Transferred 2 - 1 cutie who is now 3 years old

Transferred 3, DS is going to be 4. I got pregnant on my 5th IVF. I always transferred more then one.

I put two back on my first round of IVF and got fraternal twins. I think you have to be very comfortable with the possibility of multiples if you put back any more than one because as others said even one embryo could split.
ETA: I have an older set of twins from IUI also.

My friend put two back bc of how many times she went through this. The dr said these were really good embryos and to think about it- She said I had other good ones and ended up BFN, so she went ahead and put to back.
TRIPLET GIRLS!!!! One split into twins…
