Sick after IUI
How did you feel after your IUI? I had my first this afternoon. Now I'm having abdominal cramps, headache an nausea. Do you think I can take excedrine? I know they said no NSAIDs bc of bleeding....

Sick after IUI
I'd only take Tylenol. I only did IVF though.

Re: Sick after IUI
Cramps are normal. Headache and nausea are unrelated. You can take Tylenol only.

Re: Sick after IUI
I had many IUI's and cramping is normal. They weren't so bad that I needed tylenol though. Nausea not sure about but some girls get it with cramps so might just be a reaction. Avoid advil/Motrin and aim for the tylenol if you need. Good luck!

Re: Sick after IUI
I had one IUI and other than really little cramping I didn't have any other symptoms. but I believe I was told to take a Tylenol before the procedure and I could take after but that was all.

Sick after IUI
Thank you ladies! I actually did take 1 excedrine since the doc said I hadn't ovulated yet during the IUI. I think the headache may have been what was making me so nauseous. The only sensation I have now is a fullness or gassy type feeling in my lower abdomen. I read that a feeling like this is totally normal. I am going to get some peppermint oil for any future headaches as Tylenol doesn't really help me. Anyways, thank you again and good luck to everyone! On to the two week wait...
