Can't decide
I would go with the smaller table- I like the setup and the storage in the buffet is always good to have-you have to live with the room every day not just when you have a dinner party.

I would do the smaller table with leaves and just a buffet. China cabinets take up so much space.

I would go with the smaller table. Extra storage is always good and the buffet will give you that. Plus you will have the leaves for the smaller table so to me it's 2 uses in one.
Also, you think you won't use it unless you have everyone over but you'd be surprised. You may have a couple friends/couples over and don't need the huge table and might wind up using that room. My point is you just never know.
