Ouch... Should I worry?

I literally just stood up quickly and now I have a pain (cramp like) under my belly (to the left more then the right). I'm thinking maybe I just got up too fast but of course I come here for answers. I'm 20w3d.

Ouch... Should I worry?

The motion could have just triggered some round liganments to stretch. Sit back down and drink some water or whatever. If it doesn't go away then call the dr

I agree with this. Round ligament pain could be a sharp, shooting pain. Rest and drink.

This is what I was hoping to hear! I hate to run and call the Dr. for every little thing but this was strange. If it doesn't go away I'll call. It's definitely sharp and shooting! Never even heard of round ligament before. Thanks girls!

Ouch... Should I worry?

Totally normal..but can be painful. I had it so much worse my second pregnancy. Ob said its bc I was already stretched out from first pregnancy and elasticity was low.

It can happen if you move to fast, cough or sneeze.

Yup it's round ligament pain and totally normal. This is my second baby and I started experiencing it much earlier and much more painful then I did with DD#1.

Totally agree with pp. I had checked it out with my OB at my 20 wk check and she said it was completely normal. There always seems to be some sort of temporary discomfort down there from time to time....RLP, constipation, gas...ahh the joys of motherhood! Chat Icon

Ouch... Should I worry?

Yes! I started getting round ligament pain early (at 16 weeks) and it hits me hard and often, especially when I'm walking fast or running. It's good to know it's normal (I called the doctor when I started getting it).
