If you're realllly bored today....registry help

I'm a ftm/hot mess. After being tortured to register I'm giving in and having all gifts sent to my FIL. What am I missing?

Bouncer (mamaroo)
Playard
Sheets for playard
Rock n play
Tub
Hooded towels
Washcloths
Boppy lounger
Bundle me
Play mat
Activity gym
Exersaucer
High chair
Diaper dekor
Changing pad
Changing pad cover
Burp cloths
Humidifier
Snotsucker
Receiving blankets
Swaddle blankets
Swaddle sleepsacks
Mittens
Booties
2 kinds of bottles
Pacifiers
Extra carseat base

Furniture, carseat and stroller are being purchased by parents.
We are buying all bedding and I've been tipped off that my mom and best friend are hoarding clothes behind my back.

Should I add some onesies? Socks? I feel like no one buys that stuff.

I'm not breastfeeding or baby wearing. We will buy all our own toiletries, diapers, formula, etc.

If you are having a large shower, I would also register for 2 convertible car seats. One for your car and the other for your husbands, for when the baby grows out of the infant one. They can be pricey so its nice not to have to go buy them. Typically they grow out of the infant car seat within the first year.

I also registered for Safety Gates, also was nice to not have to go out and buy them once he was mobile.

Regarding the bundle me, make sure it's the one that goes over the seat like a shower cap and not the one that you have to thread the car seat straps through.

I disagree. They're always updating and coming out with new car seats. Plus they have expiration dates. For example, the seats I have for DD1 didn't even exist when I registered or had my shower. Unless you plan on using a convertible seat from birth, it doesn't make sense to buy one just to sit there for months or even a year. Instead, ask for gift cards and save them for the seat.

Thank you for this! This is helping me make my list though I don't need a lot of things. We won't have a crib, we don't own a car (though we will have a newborn car seat for taking him home, cabs, etc.).

True you could wait and use GC's. Although car seats have a standard life span of 6 years from DOM. And newer car seats life spans can be even up to 9 years. Most people I know registered for both, but I guess its whatever you are comfortable with.

I agree. Also who wants to store the car seats. I rather have things I need for the baby for the first 6 months. Everything eles we can buy when needed.

Thanks girls. I'm not having a shower, so anything I get will be purchased by close family/friends and I'm not anticipating much- we will likely buy most items ourselves.
