Currently looking at houses and found one we love. Only thing it does not have that we need is a fence. (We have an 80 lb lab we need a fenced in backyard.) I know fences can very greatly but can anyone give me some idea how much it would cost to put in a brand new fence. The property is half an acre.

We have a quarter acre and were quoted 7k for white pvc. We didn't end up doing it yet, but will try a few other places for quotes as well, since this was just Home Depot and I've heard the smaller companies usually come in at better prices.

We have a third of an acre (and our house is at the front of the property), and paid about 14k all said and done
eta: it was a bit under 550 feet with a double driveway gate for a 6 foot white pvc

We have a third of an acre. We did the back, one side and both fronts with gates. We also bought 8 foot poles in the back to raise the fence and backfilled with soil. It came to around 7 grand.

We have just over 1/3 of an acre and we did the back, one side and front with 2 gates (one on each side of the house), with 6ft white PVC and it was about $6K, 3 years ago

we did V&O Montalvan and it was about $1500 for one gate and fencing along the backyard (small yard, maybe 40-50 ft in lenth).

You can't go by how many acres you have, but rather by how many square feet of fence you need. We have a corner property with 2 gates so we needed more than someone who just needed to fence a backyard.

We have a half acre and just did our fence. We paid $3,000 for black chain link. This includes only the back and the front (with two very large gates in the front). The sides were already done by the neighbors with privacy fence. In total, we did 124 feet worth of fencing for $3K. Had we done the sides it would have been an additional $3500.
We were quoted $4800 for the back and front if we had done white aluminum instead. So, for the entire backyard (sides included) it would have been closer to $10,000.

We have an 8000 sq foot corner lot. We paid $5500 for white 6 foot pvc with 2 gates.
We also used V &O Montalvan and they were by far the cheapest quote we got.

We have a corner lot and had to replace the fence on all sides, went with 6 foot white pvc with 1 gate, cost us about 5k but this was 5 years ago... we went with Rose Fence
