Sweet potato casserole recipe?

Anyone happen to have one that's a hit?

This is my tried and true recipe - been using it forever and it always gets requested every year. Warning: it is NOT healthy but it's sooooo delicious!!!

2 cans of Bruce's Yams in Syrup
4 tablespoons of butter
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1/2 of a small bottle of vanilla extract
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg

Topping:
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup flour
1 cup chopped pecans
5 tablespoons butter, melted

In a small bowl, combine all the topping ingredients. Set aside.
In a baking pan, mash the yams with a fork. In a small saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients (butter, brown sugar, spices, and vanilla) and melt on low heat. Once melted, pour over the yams. Fold yams over the melted mixture until well combined. Crumble the topping mixture generously over the yams until fully covered. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.

Sweet potato casserole recipe?

I use fresh sweet potatoes, peeled and boiled

Mash them with cream, brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, butter, maple syrup

Put them in a casserole dish and top with mini marshmallows bake in oven until the top has melted and lightly browned.

search allrecipes.com for "sweet potato soufle. its called " sweet potato soufflé #1".... its AWESOME!!! and easy-- and i've made it a bunch of times for different things, and its a hit pretty much every time! LOL

Do I drain the yams?

Also, I have 40 oz cans, I should prob only use one right?

I just made this one and it was great.

America's test kitchen recipe

I did bake my sweet potatoes rather than cook them ion the stove top. Then I just peeled and pureed them with the other ingredients and left out the water.

2 Cans of Bruce's Yams
2 sticks of butter
sugar
brown sugar
cinnamon
cloves
ginger

Baked for 30 minutes at 350. Add marshmallows on top for last 5 or so minutes until they are melted

Yes, drain the majority of the can. I think only 1 larger can should be fine.

Yes, drain the yams before mashing. I actually use 2 of the 40 oz cans. This year I actually doubled the entire recipe and used 4 40oz cans for 17 people.
