Re: Outside Christmas decor
We go a bit nuts for Christmas, it's our favorite holiday.
All the windows and front door have a wreath. The roof is designed with lights by DH, this is our 2nd year here and he did it a little different. We get the light nets for all our bushes. We have a big maple in front that has over 1000 lights on it. It goes up the trunk and around the biggest branches. We also have 4 huge light up "ornaments" for each one of our kids that hangs from the tree and a spot light on it. I just got my DH a starscape projector in red and green that puts all tiny lights over our entire house. We wrap garland and lights on our staircase to the door. We also wrap our light pole with a red bow.
I think that's it, but who knows what DH will want to add this year lol. I can add pics after this weekend when he puts them all up.

I love the look of the candlesticks in the windows and a large wreath on the front door. To me it is a simple, yet elegant way to decorate.

I love this too- I am not a fan of the blow ups or the rainbow colored lights. I like the classic white lights with wreaths and candles. Those light up deer are very nice too

Outside Christmas decor
Last year we did white lights on the tree we have out front, pre-lit white branches in the garden and we swagged fresh garland wrapped with lights and lit fresh wreaths over the windows then wreath on the door.
This year I'm very pregnant and my fat a$$ is not climbing the windows so I'm on the hunt for some pre-lit snowflakes or something to put in the windows.
I love the candles in the windows but I don't have many windows in the front of my house!

Outside Christmas decor
Prior to this year, we did candles in the window, wreathes on the doors and windows and garland wrapped poles on the porch. We ran lights around the roof line and garage. This year though we are going full out tacky per the request of my DD. She thinks we have the most boring house on the block so this year we have those laser lights that light up the front in the house in green and red twinkles, 3 blow up thinks, a light up minnie/micky/snowman and will be haning oversize ornaments from our trees.

Re: Outside Christmas decor
Thanks everyone. I ordered two of these deer to put in the front. I think we're going to keep it simple with white lights, the deer and a wreath above the garage.

Re: Outside Christmas decor
I know I am late...but thought I would share our porch decorations. Since our children flew the nest we have scaled down... I think it looks really pretty. Red rope lights on the white porch poles look like candy canes..snowflake lights between the poles... ornaments in the flower pots.. greenery around the door with white lights and red ribbons. Pics in my album.
