Light version of Baked French Toast
I love the idea of the Baked French Toast recipe for Xmas morning and have made it many times but I always find that it is just too heavy. Either I just don't like it or I do something wrong! Lol
Mine always comes out very mushy.
Does anyone have a "lighter" recipe for it. Similar concept. Prepare night before etc.

My MIL prepares it the night before and then bakes it in the morning, it is def heavy but not mushy. She uses challah (we celebrate Hanukkah)
