Spotting - not what I wanted for Christmas

Okay ladies...talk me off the ledge here. It is Christmas Eve, I am hosting, all docs offices are closed, and I started spotting (one time it was more than just a spot it was obvious on the toilet paper). I called the on call doc and they said I can go to L&D but there is nothing to be done if there is an issue. So do I go to the hosp and cancel the holiday in attempt to get peace of mind or to I assume the best and go as planned? Btw I am exactly 12 weeks and we planned to tell everyone tonight!!

is it bright red or dark colored? Any clots? is it just when you wipe? Are you cramping?

If it's just when you wipe and no clots or cramping, I'm sure it is nothing. You're probably just on your feet alot today and running around. If you can take a break for an hour or two, try to lay down and see if it stops :)

Re: Spotting - not what I wanted for Christmas

So sorry you are going through this. I just had the same thing tues night. I'm 9 weeks. I had some red, but no clots or cramping. My dr told me to lie down for a bit and see if it stopped. It did. Although I've had on and off light brown since then. If you can try to rest and stay off your feet. I would not cancel unless it gets worse. Good luck!

Thanks ladies! I decided to keep the plans as is since there is nothing to be done anyway. I am glad I did as it was a nice night. There were no clots and it was red spotting. Most times I had to almost look for it but there was ine instance where it was a good amt. I will stay positive and keep my reular appt next week unless it gets worse. Happy Holidays!

I hope everything is okay. Chat Icon I had some very light brown spotting yesterday morning just on the toilet paper. Not the way to start the holiday. Take it easy and drink plenty of water. FWIW, I had bright red bleeding with my first pregnancy at 11 weeks and everything turned out fine.
