Ear question
My 6 year old DS recently came home with a note from the nurse saying he couldn't hear 30 decibels and below. We've noticed recently (5 months maybe) that he keeps saying he needs his ears cleaned even though nothing comes out. When he messes with it, it sounds like there's fluid.
Should we take him to an eye, ear, nose specialist b/c we hope it's just the fluid that's causing temporary hearing loss, or should we take him to an audiologist? He had his 6 year appt recently at the pediatrician and the nurse said she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary (pediatrician didn't see him, just the nurse).

Re: Ear question
Definitely make an appt with an ENT. Not much an audiologist can do. An ENT can get to the root of the problem.

Ear question
I ended up calling the pediatrician and he said to bring DS in so he could take a look. $15 co-pay just for him to recommend we go to an ENT. :/
