What do with lentils?

I pour them over pasta. It was something my great-grandmother made during the Great Depression (both of my maternal grandparents are one of 11) and it's a dish that has been passed down.

It's one bag of dried lentils, cover with two times the water, season with salt, pepper, and onion powder, cook for about an hour. When they're close to done I take two tablespoons of flour in a separate bowl, add half a cup of cold water, whisk with a fork, then add to the lentils and turn up the heat for two minutes. I pour three to four ladles of lentils over pasta, then portion and freeze the rest. I can usually get two more dinners out of it.

I like them just like they are with a bit of salt; DH adds olive oil and shredded mozzarella to his.

I made this the other day and just threw the lentils in at the end, so it was one curry. I also used spinach instead of kale and served it over rice.

What do with lentils?

Soup - I make in slow cooker with water, bay leaves, spices and chicken thighs. I think it's a skinny taste recipe.
