Someone told me Houstons closed
I heard houstons in Garden City closed. Are they opening another location? Disappointed to hear.

Someone mentioned it to me. I did a search online and didn't see anything other than Trip Advisor reviews that they were closing Dec 30th.

I've been to one in Florida and just recently went with DH to GC location. We loved it. Someone told me they closed, so I did a search online and I read on Trip Advisor, a few people posting reviews said they were closing Dec 30th.

it's true, they closed a few days ago. There's a NJ location though it's a bit of a hike.

Yes, RF raised the rent to push them out. I heard they may be opening a location on LI, though not sure when/where.

This! I am so upset. I LOVED Houston's and it was always packed. Hopefully they reopen on LI somewhere.

They closed on 12/30. The mall tried to almost double their rent and wanted them to update the decor. Supposedly they are looking for a new LI location. We were there on 12/20 for our last first date (that was where we went for our first date) and that was the story the bartender told us.
The one in the city is now called Hillstone (the parent company name). They have the same menu but with additional items (sushi i believe).

I'm so sad about this. There are two Hillstones in the city and they are the same thing. They had to change their name to not be a chain when they enacted the calorie posting requirements in the city.

Wow! I had no idea!! we used to always LOVE LOVE houstons!!! LIKE LOVE IT! We went about a month ago and have to admit...we hated it....food was nothing like it used to be! the one in RF).
We were completely disappointed as it always was our go to place.
