Put a drop or two of visine (I use that MAC water setting spray) on your eye shadow brush and put any shimmery eye shadow on it. It will be much more dramatic.

I've used my The Balm Mary Loumanizer highlighter as an eyeshadow to add some brightness

I've done that too, but I usually use
L'oreal Infallible 24 hour Eye Shadow in Iced Latte
It lasts a really long time on me, which I usually have trouble with.
ETA_ Ialso jsut receivd this Sephora sahdow as a gift, and it is a little darker than Iced latte, but looks really natural, yet shiny on me.
