From D&C to another surgery
Sorry I wasn't sure whete to post. So my D&C did not go as expected at all today. There was minimal tissue left in my uterus, but when they tested it, it wasn't pregnancy tissue. I had repeat blood work and my hcg levels are still the same as they were on Wednesday. I had 2 sonos today and while they can't definitively tell where the pregnancy is, it's likely in one of my tubes. I'm having laproscopic surgery tonight. I'm terrified of not only losing 1 tube, but both.
If anyone has been through something similar, do you have any advice? We're you able to get pregnant again and have a successful pregnancy? How long was the recovery?
If you could spare some healthy vibes, I'd appreciate it.

I also had an ectopic rupture a tube...the tube was removed laparoscopically in August 2012...I was pregnant again in October 2012 and have a healthy 2.5 year old. My doctor was able to check out my other tube during the surgery and confirmed it was in great shape.

Re: From D&C to another surgery
Thank you so much for the support and for those who shared success stories after an ectopic. The surgery went pretty well. Before the surgery, I talked with my doctor about trying to save my tube if possible. When they went in, it turned out that the left tube was very enlarged and the pregnancy took up the entire tube. She had to remove it. It was very close to rupturing. Everything else looked good and while my right tube was a little swollen from what was going on, there was no evidence of any issues. I'm glad I only lost 1 tube and that I chose the D&C, which was when they suspected the ectopic. I can't even imagine what would have happened if it ruptured. Thanks again.

Re: From D&C to another surgery
I had a tube removal after a ruptured ectopic in October. My surgery was not laparoscopic and I have a full basically C-section scar. The recovery was a little rough and took me a full 6 - 8 weeks to really feel normal, but my OB has told me that I should have no issues getting pregnant again in the future. My first few periods after the surgery were a little wonky but they're back to normal now.
Just give yourself time to heal. But don't worry....there is hope! You should be able to get pregnant again with no problem.
