Dental xrays
Has anyone had or does anyone know if it's safe to have dental xrays while pregnant? I'm 18 weeks and having major dental pain. I left a message for my dr because my dentist is requiring a note saying it's ok to proceed which is making me worry.

Dental xrays
I had a root canal and a tooth pulled when I was pregnant with hailey. I didn't need a Drs note but I'm sure that depends on each dr individually.

Dental xrays
my dentist just didn't do any. but i was just getting a cleaning. i would talk to your OB. I know I had read that it shouldn't be an issue but I think it depends on the dentist.

Re: Dental xrays
Dentists won't typically do the regular, annual x-rays. But they definitely will for pain because that can be more dangerous (an infection).
I had a pain in my tooth when pregnant with my second, so I had a x-rays with my dentist and an endontist. Both put double shields over me. Baby girl is fine!
