I cant help but think ..
How much it would suck to have an ER scheduled on a day like this.
I especially feel for those who needs cars to get to their clinics.

i thought of that this morning b/c last friday was my retrieval. King of Prussia office is their office where the surgeries are and they are open 365 days a year. has to suck for staff to try and get there.
im pretty sure RMA probably told the patients to book a room at the hotel nearby. they were telling people that when the Pope was coming to town.

My ER was 9/25, the Friday the Pope was in NYC. And my clinic is Cornell, in Manhattan.
Luckily we live in the LIC area so we don't need to drive to Cornell. We took the subway there and took a yellow cab back. If we couldn't find a taxi, I was ok enough for the subway with DH (it's about 6-7 stops, not ideal after having anesthesia but doable). But it worked out fine, as we got a taxi.
If I lived in the suburbs and had to drive to a clinic, I'd be so nervous about weather related stuff. I'd probably have a list of hotels handy.

Yeah I thought about this today too. I'd be a hot mess if I had an ER or ET today. I would of definitely gotten a hotel nearby.

I was supposed to go in today for my first blood/ sono since starting my IVF meds on Wednesday. Hey called at 5:30 to say they were closed and to come tomorrow but I don't know if tomorrow is going to be an option either. Hope things don't get screwed up now ??

I cant help but think ..
I had an ER at SIRM on a day with tons of black ice. The anesthesiologist crashed his car on the way in and we had to wait for a back up anesthesiologist to get there.
