help with frying chicken and using oil...
I almost never fry food, but when I have my mother always told me to put the used oil in can, etc. and store to reuse. In the refrigerator I have used oil just sitting there. I never use it.
I want to pre-fry some chicken for a few minutes tonight then finish it off by baking.
How many times can oil be reused?
should I just use fresh oil?
What does everyone dispose used oil?
if you keep your used oil how do you store it?
TIA

Hmm. I have never heard to reuse oil so can't help you there.
When we finish cooking we usually dump the oil in an empty water bottle, Snapple bottle, whatever we have laying around. We then put it in the freezer. A few hours later we toss the bottle, can, etc with the frozen oil in the garbage.

Re use it over and over!! It makes your next batch of fried whatever taste even better. We have a big daddy fryer and just leave the oil in it
