See, THIS does more for body image IMO than a curvy Barbie.
This is a real woman, with curves, who is beautiful and who made the coveted cover of the SI swimsuit issue.
THIS to me shows more progress in societal norms of what is "beautiful" than a plastic doll

she's a beautiful model and it's a fabulous accomplishment for her- BUT .......they kept saying how "groundbreaking" this was .......No, it would be AMAZING if she got THE cover. The ONE and ONLY cover as all of thee other cover models have over the years . .....she got one of THREE separate covers, which is not the same, and SI should stop patting themselves on the back.

She's really a beauty.
Even though she's "plus sized" (I hate that term), she still has a great body. She's got curves in all the right places. I'm smaller than her and, trust me, no amount of photo shopping could make me look as good as she does! To me, she just looks like a healthy,larger built woman.

I kinda said the same thing on FB. I wish it wasnt 1 of 3 and the only one.
But for me, Im very happy to see this step. It has to start somewhere. And I wont take that from her. If I was in her shoes I would be extremly proud.
I would love to know which cover sells the most copies.
Wonder if that would ever come out.
