Nesting--figured you guys could sympathize!

I'm 33 weeks and we moved into our new apartment 3 weeks ago. Since the move, DH has had to travel for work, had a licensing exam, and is going away for a training camp this coming weekend. All of these are important things and I can't blame him for not having time but all I want to do is get ready for baby and this picture is the baby's room (or rather, his nook as there is no doorChat Icon ).

Nesting is REAL! I get physically sick when I look into "his room"! I wish I could do it myself but the last time I picked up a heavy box, I had back pain for a week.

Anyone else just want to nest and can't for some reason??? I've taken to reorganizing clothing and kitchen drawers in the meantime. Chat Icon

I have all the clothes washed and I want to put them away but I'm painting our chifferobe knobs and door blue or pink. We're team green so I have to wait and it's killing me.

Right here!! We just moved this weekend and the only room that isn't done is the baby's room! The flooring was special ordered and has not come in yet! Chat Icon it's driving me bananas but I'm just trying to keep myself occupied with the rest of the place!

Yes! I actually thought of you as you also moved! OMG it's driving me bananas! And DH keeps saying we have time don't worry...but you just want it done and have it sit perfect until the baby comes. Chat Icon

I'm a few weeks behind you but yea, all the clothes are sitting in those boxes. I haven't even bought the detergent I'm washing them in yet. That's my next to-do!

Door knobs sound pretty! Our son has no doorknobs since he doesn't technically have a room.Chat Icon

DH just finished redoing the bathroom that is next door to baby's room and the old vanity is still in there. Until this past Thursday, the new one and all the tools were in there as well. So I haven't been able to do anything for the past 2 weeks or so. Furniture is already assembled and some things washed and put away, but I just want to finish! Had to work this past Saturday so no time and I am almost 38 week. Argh! Finally I can go back to it, but I'm just so tired....

I am 35 weeks this week and his room is still my DD's room. Her room should be done in 2 weeks which is when she will move in, then we can start on his room. Luckily it's only painting and putting together his crib nothing major. I also have to decorate, wash everything, and put it away, but that all should take a week at most. So his room will be started at 37 weeks and hopefully be done by 38 weeks LOL I get anxiety thinking about it. I just hope he comes on time or late.

I'm nesting hard..and not just DDs room but everything. I'm 31 weeks. I know I am seriously working DHs nerve.. since I can't move furniture or paint so I have to depend on DH and I want things done a certain way.

We also need to redo her closet and the system I bought is sitting in the hall...soo annoying. To top it off they are refinishing our wood floors again this weekend so that means more dust and more to clean. Ugh so much to do so I hear you!!

If it makes you feel better, DH painted my dd's room this weekend. She's two months old!

The baby will be in your room for a while in the beginning anyway, don't stress it!

I'm 38 weeks and just this weekend the room finally came together. Still more to do but enough that I feel that we are ready for her! Now if only she would arrive!!

Ha! Well as long as we build the changing table and find somewhere else to store things like bicycles, I'll feel better!

Yes! We have a couple of rooms that need to be cleaned out but I'm so exhausted! Every time I really get moving I have the worst belly cramps, don't want baby to come early. DH is always busy with work and hasn't had time to do certain things that I can not. It's frustrating
