new FAVORITE foundation
So I posted in the recent purchases that the Kat Von D was my new favorite foundation....I lied. I did love it but after a week my face broke out like I was 14 again and I NEVER break out. It irritated the hell out of my rosacea too.
I was on the hunt for something else. After some research I saw that LOreal Lumi was getting RAVE reviews by bloggers and you tubers - so I figured, for 10 bucks what do I have to lose. HOLY COW, its AMAZING. Like I said, I have rosacea so its REALLY hard to find something to cover my redness (that isn't heavy) and even out my skin tone. This does it and its SUPER lightweight, build able coverage and gives the most beautiful dewy yet not oily finish. Definitely go pick this up if you are in the market for a new foundation. Drugstore foundations are almost always a no-go for me, but i LOVE this one. Hasn't irritated my rosacea at all (even says its good for sensitive skin). Due to the rosacea I also have dry flaky skin, this doesn't stick to it or flake off, great for dry skin too! LOVE!

Re: new FAVORITE foundation
And it doesn't sit in your pores and fine lines at all? That is usually my problem with ANY foundation.
Oh and did you get the cushion or the liquid in the bottle?

No, I also have a fine line settling issue. I used the liquid (applied with the beauty blender)

Re: new FAVORITE foundation
I watched some YouTube videos on it and it looked like for my oily skin, it wouldn't work. Way too glowy and not long lasting enough for me and the coverage looked light to medium with not a lot of build up ability.

it is definitely buildable, I have rosacea, and Im in the middle of a flare which is almost impossible to cover up, I can build it up enough to cover it.

Re: new FAVORITE foundation
OK so I tried it. I have to say foundations usually go right back to ulta but I'll keep this one. It didn't go on and immediately make my pores and acne scars look worse. So that's a plus. I tried it with a beauty blender, but i have to say, a beauty blender is not for me. It just absorbs the product and the coverage is just too sheer no matter how i do it. (tried it with my IT BB cream too- same issue)
So today I put the Lumi on with my fingers. Much better coverage for me. I did need a bit more coverage over my acne scars and section of large pores- so i put some of the IT BB cream over it.
But it's the end of the day and my make up still looks good- no touch ups.
And the color is nice on me too
So i think it's a keeper Thank you!

Applied it today with the Ulta Angled Foundation brush and love the way it applied.

Is it less sheer that way than with the beauty blender? Better coverage?

new FAVORITE foundation
Not bad. Definitely works to reduce redness. I'm not a huge fan of liquid - I do prefer a more creamy foundation.
I did like that this one was light feeling and seemed to absorb into skin and not just sit on top of my face.

I felt the coverage was better and it just applied better overall.
Also though, when I use the BB, I saturate it with water first, then ring it out which helps with the blending and also limits the absorption of product. Not sure if you do as well.
