Teachers and Tutoring...
One of my parents from last year asked me to tutor her child. I am supposed to call her this weekend but I am unsure of how much I should ask to be paid.
DH and I need the money but I do not teach in a very affluent area so I feel bad asking for too much.
What is the going rate for tutoring by a certified public school teacher on Long Island who is going for her master's??? THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY INFO!!!!!

I've heard anywhere from $40-$60 per hr.

I charge 50 as well. But I am tutoring a child who was in my class, so I said $45...even though its not a big difference, it made me feel better.

Thanks Ladies!
I am going to start tutoring on Tues with him. We agreed on $50 an hour. I am going to tutor him 2 days per week.
