CSA?

Has anyone done a CSA that they've loved? If so, I'd love to know which one it was and why.
I did one for the first time last year and while some of the items were great, I found many to be going bad by the time I got them. Not sure if this is typical or I just got a bad one. I love the idea of a CSA but I think I'd like to try a new one this year. Thanks!

Re: CSA?

Which one did you do? I'm seriously thinking about it as I spend so much on produce.

Re: CSA?

Garden of Eve- my pick up was on Wednesday and I wondered if everything would have been fresher if I had a Saturday pick up. Sometimes it was great but others things seemed to go bad way too fast. Not sure if I'm being too picky- I think organic does have an impact on the amount of time it stays fresh.

I used them once a few years ago. I don't remember having an issue with freshness for the most part. I did the weekday pick up although I dont remember which day. I didn't do it again mainly bc I didn't really like the variety they gave and found I still had to get most of my staples at the grocery store anyway.

I did Golden Earthworm a few years ago and was very happy with them. Garden of Eve does not impress me when I go there so I am sure their CSA is nothing to write home about.

Thanks! It's good to know you saw a difference between Golden Earthworm and Garden of Eve.
