Summer services for CPSE
I know the buzz word for getting summer services is "regression" but for P/T she wrote it as Highly Intensive Needs (but she did have regressions noted).
We are having trouble getting Speech for the summer because she cant honestly say shes seen regression but can she write a statement of Highly Intensive Needs without regression? How would this be worded (ie no progress towards goals after 6 months?)
TIA

Re: Summer services for CPSE
I know there has to be a "regression report" filled out for each of the services in order for it to carry over into summer.. at least that has been my experience with CPSE. My meeting with them was earlier this month. DS classroom teacher and each of his therapists (ST, OT, PT) attached a "regression report" to the annual review reports to say what skills he lost after a break and how long it took him to get back to pre-break level. Based on those reports they approved for summer session services.

Summer services for CPSE
I know it varies from district to district, but in mine, I didn't need a regression report to continue summer services, however, I was told that the summer is to maintain and not regress so he wasn't given the same amount of therapies. He still attended his center based pre-school but OT and speech were cut to 2x's a week, and PT once a week. Originally, everything was supposed to be once a week but I fought and got more speech and OT.
