Decorating help for nursery- need curtain advice!

We are trying to put together the nursery for my DS. The walls are gray and the rug is navy/ivory.

I got dark gray blackout curtains but we didn't really like them. Blackout is important.

What color curtains would you get? Any good shoppers out there?

Thanks!

Do you think the navys have to match perfectly? The rug is a little lighter than what I would consider navy.

What about solid navy curtains? Or even adding a touch of yellow would look nice. I like navy, yellow and gray

I'd definitely go navy. Possibly even navy/ivory striped or chevron? I think Target had a pretty good, reasonably priced selection of blackout curtains that we looked into but ultimately ordered through Overstock.

I would do solid navy. DS' nursery had gray walls, navy curtains, and navy/white bedding and it looked great together. I really like the navy curtains against the gray walls.

Look at West Elm... The had a great design that would fit this color scheme. I actually bought my son's curtains from there.

As for the colors matching perfectly- it depends. If you have several shades of navy, I think it works. But if everything is this light navy and then you just have dark navy curtains, that would bug me.

I would do white curtains, but ones that are a nice fabric, heavy with pleats, not dainty looking.

I agree with this. And add the blackout roller shades that were mentioned by another poster.
