Rent the Runway Unlimited
I've used RTR for special events and I LOVE it. I honestly hate shopping at stores and I was thinking about doing RTR unlimited to freshen up my stale wardrobe. The price seems steep though and I was wondering if anyone has done it.
Is it worth it?
TIA!

thinking the same. i might do it once i reach my goal weight. I wonder if i can return things to the nyc store and pick stuff up vs. waiting for shipments.

Re: Rent the Runway Unlimited
ok, so i called them and here is what i found out: - you start with 3 pieces (dresses, jewelry, anything) - you can keep them for up to a year OR - you can wear them once, send it back right away and reorder something else So, all in all - you could get up to ~10 new pieces each month.
I'm already a pro member,so I can't use this but I think you could get 20% off your first shipment if you are a new member.

If i had an extra $140 a month laying around, maybe. But that price is a bit insane to me. I'd rather put that money towards a new car lease every month and just buy my own clothes

You can totally do this. I did this in Vegas. RTR is incredibly customer friendly!

Re: Rent the Runway Unlimited
I keep trying but I just can't get on board with this thing -
Every time I have an event I go online ........and I just end up buying something b/c I can't bring myself to spend over $100 (and for what I like usually over $200) to BORROW a dress 5,000 other people have already worn for a night ...... To me, part of the appeal of wearing a designer piece is the fact that I earned it (or got a HUGE steal at a sample sale) both of which make me feel fabulous in it - LOL
I get it for a night, I can totally see the appeal of why people love it. But to spend $150 a month to borrow a piece of clothing? No way IMO is that worth it.

I was slow to come around to it for the same reasons. But now I love it mostly because you're never repeating dresses. I also find myself a little more daring because I am not spending a ton of money on something very trendy. I've never spent more than $60 on it though. I agree I couldn't bring myself to spend $200 on a dress rental. That's crazy town!
I also love not having to bring a garment bag for dresses when I go away. I have them sent to my hotel and have the concierge send them back. So convenient!
