Is there a way to take days off for dr appointments and not get days removed from your CAR? can I get a Drs note for excuse? Some of my appointments have been during the day Chat Icon

Unfortunatley no. You are allowed 10 self treated sick days - meaning no note. Any after that they would dock pay for a day. All a note does is allow you to take more than 10 days and there's nothing anyone can do and those days can come from your CAR instead of being docked days.

I'm due in August, so the 6 weeks start the day I'm due. Correct? Then, when shool begins it starts deducting CAR days.

Yea that's correct. Your 6 weeks starts the day of birth. You only get paid during that timeframe. You can stay out for 12, but 6 of those 12 weeks are unpaid (even if you have the CAR days!) The school days that fall within the first 6 weeks will be paid for using your CAR days.

But if this 6 weeks paid leave deal actually gets passed before we all have our summer babies, maybe we'll be able to stay out longer and get paid!
