Dog owners

Do your dogs have a routine of coming into your bed when your alarm goes off each morning and snuggling their head on your chest/neck so they could be hugged really tight!? Lol I have had my dog a year and she got into this routine. It's one of the best things about having a dog. She is about 40 lbs mixed breed and I absolutely love that she wants to cuddle and hug like that each and every morning!

Re: Dog owners

No, my dog knows she's not allowed on the bed.... however, every time I go into our bedroom, I either catch her on it, jumping off of it, or standing near the bed with that "I didn't do anything" look.... Chat Icon Chat Icon

No, because my dog is usually already in bed with me, under the covers Chat Icon But he definitely knows the morning routine. He used to get up as soon as the alarm went off. Now he knows there will be at least one snooze session before we get up and the time between the 1st and 2nd alarm is "snuggle time". Gotta love them!

Re: Dog owners

Depends on the dog- one dog sleeps in the bedroom right next to the door, the other downstairs. The bedroom dog is up and wagging his tail as soon as he hears us stir, doesn't go by the alarm because he knows we like to hit snooze. Chat Icon the other dog waits until we come downstairs.

eTA: now that I'm on maternity leave and I stay in bed after my DH leaves at 6, the dogs both hop into bed with me after he leaves- one on each side. Chat Icon Best way to start the day!!

Re: Dog owners

Yes.. both dogs know they can't be on the bed when we're sleeping... (except in thunder storms!).
But once I'm up and in the shower - or on sundays when DH and I sleep in... Once its Light out.. we've got them snuggled between us on the bed.
