awful mother's day already..
So this morning at around 730, I woke up and began cooking for mother's day brunch at my mom's house @ noon. My husband sat in the basement and relaxed.. He came up to ask what was for breakfast. I said i needed 30 mins but I had bagels in the freezer that I'll defrost. He asked for coffee too and then went back downstairs...
20 mins later, he comes up to argue about buying all these AC units for the basement, rather than one portable one which is what we agreed upon. I explained that i didn't want to be covering the new basement windows with AC units because it will block the light coming into the basement. It started an argument and ended with him throwing out his breakfast and going back in the basement.
I had a feeling this would be an uneventful day, as my husband made a comment last week that this mother's day doesn't count because I am not a mother yet. I know he's just in a bad mood because he doesn't want to go anywhere today, and just wanted to relax at home.
Trying not to let it get to me, but I was really looking forward to today.

Eeek.. I think you better explain to him that you have one baby on the way, so he better grow up. He threw a tantrum and tossed his breakfast because he was in a bad mood?!
Not prepping for Mother's Day is one thing- I personally wouldn't fault him for that since baby isn't here yet and it probably truly slipped his mind to think of doing something- but that reaction and temper? That's what would make me

I'm sorry, but I'm sure a lot of us have husbands that would rather sit home and relax on Mothers Day. It's not about him. It's about the Mothers. Suck it up Bucky! You can relax another day.

awful mother's day already..
he apologized- i told him i never wanted a gift, but it would have been nice to be able to relax today like he got to. I'm not big on gifts and he knows that. Doing chores around the house is so much better than flowers in my book, and that is why he is outside cutting molding for the basement right now!
