Due Date Questions
I will be 12 weeks this Friday. We plan on announcing after we get our maternit21 test results back which would be the end of next week. We did IVF and based on our transfer date my due date is December 9th. However, I'm high risk since I have a clotting issue and I've been placed on Lovenox for my entire pregnancy. Both my MFM and high risk OB will not let me go past 39 weeks. Should I just tell people on Due on Dec. 2nd because there is no way I will go past that date.

Due Date Questions
Say whatever you want. It's very rare to go on your due date anyway. A week early is very normal regardless of being high risk.
Congrats!

Re: Due Date Questions
Hi there twin!!!! I'm also due 12/9 and due to a condition I developed while pregnant with my DD my Doctor already told me they will plan to do my c section on 12/2. I am still saying I am due on 12/9 for now because that is my due date.

Re: Due Date Questions
I would just say early December with no specific date. I'm due July 24, but it's looking like I will be scheduled for July 20 so I'm just telling people "late July."

Re: Due Date Questions
Id tell people your actual due date- maybe then you can avoid the "still pregnant?" And "is the baby here yet?!" Calls and texts.

Re: Due Date Questions
It's ok to just say "early December" too. A lot of my friends who are pg don't tell the exact date and nobody questions them.

Re: Due Date Questions
I would still say your actual due date, because that is your actual due date. Regardless of when they plan to deliver you, you're still due based on your transfer date on 12/9.

Due Date Questions
I'm due 11/9 and they won't let me go past 39 weeks either. I still say I'm due 11/9 but will go earlier.

Re: Due Date Questions
My due date was May 27th. I ended up with a scheduled Csection on May 4th but I didn't have that date til I was about 34 weeks so I always said "May 27th but I will go earlier"

Re: Due Date Questions
I would say the correct due date, but you could add that you will likely give birth earlier. People are just curious and of course, anything can happen. My second DS was due May 20 but my water broke on May 2. You never know, and people should know that! Congrats!

Due Date Questions
Thanks everyone! I agree it makes sense just say my correct due date and also say I will most likely have the baby earlier than that!
