Teaching position
I am desperately trying to land a teaching position- preferably in Queens for this upcoming academic year. I am certified in elementary ed and special ed 1-6 and will be receiving my birth-2 gen ed and spec ed certs in June.
I graduated in 2011 but then I had my two children. So trying to get hired now is difficult because I don't have experience with Common Core or the Danielson Framework.
I cannot sub or take a leave replacement because subbing would be a major pay cut and I need something permanent so I cannot take a leave replacement.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
I know I am most likely going to need to extend my search out of Queens but I figured I would throw it out there...

Teaching position
Email all principals of schools you are willing to work at. Read everything you can about Danielson, and go on engageny.org to look through elementary curricula

PreK is considered a high need area. I would expect that you should be able to find something in Queens for sure. You applied in the new teacher finder?

Yes- I am in the new teacher finder and I check the website every day for new postings.
I have emailed and sent hard copies to every principal in Dis 26 and plan on doing it for Dis 25.
