Injectable Iui cycle
Help plse
We did 3 Iui, had 1 mc last month, and decided this is our last month trying- my son was first Iui 3 yrs ago and now this...
With my sons cycle I used cloud w ovidrel had 3 follies and bam....
These 3 cycles 2 follies ever more.
So onto injectable a nut I do not know what to expect- how many days will I be on the go all? Will I trigger the same, any risks I should know about?

Injectable Iui cycle
The whole process is pretty similar to the clomid, except whereas you take clomid for only 5 days, you will taking the daily injections for probably 8-11 days. You will be on a fairly low dose of drugs since they cannot risk too many follicles with an IUI. You will give yourself injections in your tummy each night and go for blood and sono several times (probably a little more than with clomid). Once your follicles are of a good size, typically 18-22mm, you will trigger with the Ovidrel and then IUI.
Everyone reacts to meds differently so you could have some side effects like hot flashes, etc, but you could have had those with clomid too!
Good luck!!!! My almost 5 yr old son was my first clomid IUI cycle too, and here I am TTC #2 for 4 years :( Hope the injectibles are the trick for you!!

Natural and clomid IUIs were all BFN for me. My first injectable IUI gave us DS. Then My second injectable IUI gave us DD. I'm a big believer in injectable IUIs. A better, more controlled stim.

This is interesting! I am only on my first cycle with my RE. We did Letrozole (generic Femara) and a trigger shot. My doc wanted to do an IUI and I said no bc I want to try naturally first. I had 2 follies.
My doc is terrible at explaining things. She had mentioned that the "injectibles work better" than the Letrozole and we would try that on cycle 2 and do an IUI. I guess this is what she meant. My insurance won't cover the meds...how much do they cost and what are they called? They covered the Letrozole but won't cover the injections.

Follistim and Gonal, the common Injectables, are very expensive. I think a box of 900 Follistim is close to $1,000 per box and you'll need more than one probably.
