Dating around is one thing, I have no problem with dating around having fun actually. I think all women should do that before settling down. But this girl isn't dating around. She hops from one relationship to the next, looking for long term, clinging on, looking for a ring, driving these guys the hell away... reeking of desperation, and writing breakup songs about each one. You don't write a break up song for every joe that takes you out for a burger, every guy you're just casually dating and having fun with. It's just so pathetic. I know chicks like this. As for the guys who date her? Why wouldn't they? They get a free boost to their career, and a song that immortalizes them. She just came out of a year long relationship, took a shower, and jumped to another relationship. No one sees a problem with that? If she was your friend you know you would be hoping she'd take a breather before clinging onto the next guy. At this rate she's going to burn through all the guys in hollywood before she's 30 and will have to turn to mechanics and plumbers for fresh meat.
This. I'm not critizing her for dating but it does seem weird to not even take some time for urself after a break up, especially if u've been in a long time relationship! Whenever I'd get out of a long time relationship, I needed time to heal, to find myself again before I could try to date again.
And believe me, if she was a guy, I'd still have the same exact thoughts!!!
We all think we know the ins and the outs of these celebrities and their relationships because of what we read online. I would bet we are only getting about 15% of the whole story.
I say, live and let live.
I personally don't give a crap who she dates or doesn't date or when, or if she wants to get railroaded by the Dallas Cowboys defensive line and post it on the internet, just saying she sounds like a stage 5 clinger and she's giving her younger impressionable fans the message that they can't live without a man by their side. Again, I don't care, I'm not a fan anyway.
all of this...
i'm about his motivations. why date her? they don't seem compatible to me at all.
I don't like her. I think she's a complete ditz. i watch the graham norton episode she was on and cringe every time. John Cleese is merciless. for anyone interested:
I love her but that video was entertaining John Cleese is hilarious

Who says she's in a relationship? The weekly Dumb Dumb? Maybe she is just hitting it and quitting it. And she's 26...she was single for a while before Calvin Harris but people always have to pull the slut shaming on her. I appreciate the breath of fresh air. She encourages girls and woman to step up to the plate and swing regardless of gender. She's been such a voice for the feminist party and I LOVE that. If the chick wants to jump from one bed to another whose business is it? I seriously cannot stand the slut shaming on this site.
ETA: The "relationships" we are speaking of are all the one's before she was what 22? In my opinion that's harsh to judge a young GIRL on her faux relationships in hollywood.
Who's slut shaming her? I didn't call her a slut. i don't think anyone has.

Whoa. Relax. And who called her a slut?
"Slut Shaming" ...............sorry, but that's the most ridiculous, stupidest term ever to hit the internet. In fact, the word "shaming" in general needs to go away too, it's SO overused. Everyone is shaming someone nowadays, it's completely losing it's meaning.

It now makes sense why she sings the song "shake it off" bc I didn't understand how she thought she had haters, but welcome to LiF where we hate girls who don't dress like sluts, music videos aren't about drugs, but she dates a bunch at 26 and she's hated hahahah so stupid.

Wait, so it's slut shaming when taylor is the topic of conversation but if it's a woman who dresses provocatively it's ok to refer to her as a slut? Ftr I never referred to Taylor as a slut because I don't think she is one, just asking for clarification on the contradiction, and who it's ok to refer to as slut and who it's not.
Also, hate is a strong word. I don't care for her music, and I'm indifferent to her as a person ,but I don't hate her. It's not like she's drowning puppies lol.

I wasn't part of the "slut shaming" thing. I was actually joking about her song, because she's one of the few trendy people I allow my kids to listen to/watch her videos. But in the song she talks about her "haters" and I always thought it was funny thinking who could dislike this girl, but then I read this thread and realized that obviously a lot of people do.
I'm probably in the minority but I could care less who people sleep with/ date if they are being careful and safe, but I do pass judgement on people for dressing a certain way. Clearly I just said dress slutty, so I can't even say I don't judge them that harshly, but I guess I do, even though rereading what I said, I certainly chose the wrong words.
I was just surprised this 26 year old girl is getting so much flack for dating around when to me she seems harmless, and I don't mind my kids looking up to her.

I don't think she's a slut, just comes off as a needy person who can't be alone for two seconds. I don't care if you're a man or a woman though, comes across as lame either way.
eta- I actually do like her but dislike this attribute in people. I've dealt with it plenty with friends IRL.
