Scariest night of my life- update #2

So last night DH and i go home from our friends house, I was feeling Eh all day, had a lot of pressure in my stomach and then raging pains In my butt and could barely walk. As the day went on I felt a bit better so I went and got a nice spa pedicure, cleaned my kitchen, gave the dog a bath and then we went to our friends for dessert. We came home around 10:30 I go to the bathroom and I see a lot of brown on the panty liner I had on, I try not to freak out- brown blood is old blood. I go to the bathroom and wipe, blood everywhere in the toilet and covering the toilet paper. I flew downstairs, and screamed take me to the hospital. Thank god St. Charles is only 5 minute from us. My mom works there and can get me in right away so I'm frantically calling her my dad texting them nothing. I called the doctor on the way and he called me back before we even got there, so sweet and told me not to panic and to have them call him in if need be, he didn't care. I finally call my uncle, my parents were with them, and I get on the phone with my dad in hysterics in the ER and they get there within 5 minutes. The waiting was the worse part at least they gave me a private room in the ER and my parents and DH sat with me the entire time. The ultrasound tech on call finally came in about an hour after I get there and then I had an abdominal then internal ultrasound. We were in ultrasound for a good 1.5 hours getting the scans done. I was freezing from the moment they put the IV in me and couldn't stop shaking. I had a slight fever 99. Something nothing to worry about and had broke by the time I was leaving the ER. I waited a good hour after the scan and tried to sleep until the doctor came into give me the results. I have a subchorionic hemorrhage. He said its common and I'll be following up with my doctor Monday which Dr. Erhart instructed anyway when I called. Anyways, I've had spotting on and off since being in the ER. We got home around 4am this morning. I'm exhausted and on bed rest at least until I have my appointment tomorrow.
Of coarse I get home and start googling- I hate Google. Has anyone had a subchorionic hemorrhage that could give me advice? For now I was told feet up and drink a ton of water. I've never been so scared in my entire life. I am going to be in a raging panic until they get here. I knew this pregnancy was for the most part going too easy to be true.

Update 7/11- went to my OB. No concerns for now. The bleeding has stopped. I'm on bed rest until Wednesday which isn't terrible. I have an ultra sound now next week instead of tomorrow (from that other issue i was having with baby B) so they can hopefully see a change in the hematoma. Just bed rest and fluids for now. They said they will be doing an ultra sound weekly until it disappears. Doctor said it's very small and not to worry that it's common. I feel much better.

Update 7/19- went back to my OB and had another ultrasound (by the way the ultrasound tech at Dr. Erharts was a million times better this appointment than last appointment I had with her when I had posted my concerns, she was very very nice this time which made me happy and grateful for a good appointment). Anyway, no more evidence of the SCH. I have had brown spotting sometimes heavy the last 5 days, they said it's just old blood likely from the SCH, but everything is clear!!! I am so relieved. It was an awesome appointment! A was so active, B stubborn as usual! Thank you all again for the support. Hopefully no more bleeding issues this pregnancy!
Thank you everyone for all your support!!!

I did! It was small and I spotted a tiny bit of brown from it. Nothing to worry about at all, unless it's very large, which they would have told you.

My dd is screaming in my ear as I type this- I was fine, she was fine and you will be too!

I'm so sorry you had to go through that! I had a subcrhronic hematoma with my first daughter. I started bleeding at work around 9 weeks. I was told to rest until it completely passed which was a few days. Long story short I was able to carry my daughter to full term and she's a happy healthy 4 yr old now. Just take it easy and listen to your doctor. God willing all will be okay!

Scariest night of my life

Thank you!!!! They measured it as 2.2 cm X 2.7 cm which I would think is small. The spotting has seemed to stop the past few hours thank god. I'm just chugging water and keeping my feet up on the couch. I read online as long as it doesn't get bigger or the bleeding get worse that it should dissipate on its own in a few weeks. I'm sure the doctor will review with me tomorrow. Thank you guys for the positive encouragement!!!

I wasn't told I had a subchronic hematoma, but that's what I believe I had with DS. I was 16.5 weeks pregnant, and started bleeding in the middle of Buy Buy Baby. Everything wound up being fine. I was still bleeding after a couple of days, but it eventually went away. Prayers for you that everything is okay!

I had a SCH with both of my healthy pregnancies. It wa super stressful as I had several bleeding episodes both times, but everything turned out okay and I had two healthy babies. I am so sorry you had to deal with all that stress! It's the worst!

Re: Scariest night of my life

Yes

I had one with my twins. Baby A was in funny position, her head was leaning on my placenta and she moved (she was a wild woman in there lol) and she caused a hemmorrage

I made a trail in my house,in the car and through lij. All ended up being fine

That was at 18 weeks. I also had a sch early on

I basically bled all 38 weeks I was pregnant

Re: Scariest night of my life- update

So sorry to hear about your scare. With my first pregnancy, I bled a lot. My baby was fine despite all that bleeding. Praying this goes away soon for you.

I have had them with both my pregnancies, Erhart also being my doctor. He will monitor you even more closely now. He ordered extra sonograms just to track it and see if it was getting smaller. You may have another bleed, you may not. I bled 2 times in my last pregnancy, the one before that I had 5 bleeds. As the baby gets bigger it pushes on it and then sometimes you start to bleed. Erhart is really amazing, any concerns you have he will ease anyway he can. Best of luck!

Re: Scariest night of my life- update

My BFF had one--she had a lot of bleeding too. She had 2 prior MCs so of course she was freaking out. It eventually dissolved on its own and she had a typical pregnancy and delivery without any complications Chat Icon
