Still looking
If ANYONE knows of any elementary positions anywhere in the DOE (Queens) please FM me. I got access to the open market through a friend of mine and sent resumes out. I have now officially sent over 200 resumes to 200 principals. NEVER in a million years would I have thought that trying to get back in to teaching would be this friggin hard. I am beyond discouraged and seriously beginning to panic.

Have you thought about expanding your search into other boroughs? Jobs in queens can be difficult to come by especially in good districts. Good luck.

Re: Still looking
I've branched out to the Bronx a bit and parts of Brooklyn.

Re: Still looking
Just gen ed. I am returning to teaching after being a SAHM for many years. When I went to college and grad school, there wasnt a push for SPED or ENL or any of the new certifications. I wish I had the money to go back for another cert.
