When are people in the school office during summer?-update
I received a letter Saturday from my kids school regarding kindergarten (first day of school stuff). I had a couple questions so I called the school today and the phone just rang and rang. I tried at several different times today and no answer.
I realize school is not going on but figured someone was there to send the letters out last week so someone should be there at some point, right? Are there general days and times someone is usually in the office? Anyone know?
This is for district 25 in queens. Thanks!

When are people in the school office during summer?
In my school nobody is in the main office until the week before school starts. I was at work a few times in July and the phone in the main office just rings and nobody answers it. Not sure if it's different in elementary school. But most likely those envelopes were stuffed before school ended in June and were thrown in the mail last week by an assistant principal or the principal.

Ugh. That's what I thought. Thanks. Do you think if I emailed the parent coordinator I have any shot of a response? Or just wait until the last week in August and try to call again?

When are people in the school office during summer?
I'm on LI so don't know if it's different in the city but I would email the parent coordinator. Most educators check their email a few times a week during the summer.

If it's the DOE I believe Parent Coordinators are year round. They are off the two weeks summer school is over as are administrators. Email them.

So I called the school this morning at 9 am and the principal picked up. was very nice and helpful. I lucked out today!
