We finished it up this weekend. What a show!!! One of the best I've seen - it completely captivated us. Part of me hopes that they just leave it as-is and don't follow up with another season because I don't know how that could be topped!

I loved the 80s aspect, loved the kids' acting, thought Winona Ryder was awesome in it.
But - it was too sci fi / monster movie for me and I found it a little over the top silly.
But that's just me!

DH started watching it on Saturday, and I had an appt. so I couldn't stay and watch, but I saw the majority of the first episode and totally fell in love.

Just watched and hop is leaving food for 11!! That's why he left eggos. Love this whole series. It's like goonies and stand by me had a baby! A little surreal and a lot great one liners! Dustin is hilarious. Sad it's over

I wanted it to be stranger and/or more backstory or questions answered.
I really don't care about the 80s nostalgia part of it so I was looking for more content then anything.
If you liked this series because of the ideas of alternate universes, government conspiracies, then give Fringe a try. Fringe blows this out of the water in terms of content.

Yes, Fringe is on Netflix streaming.
Each Fringe episode is about a team investigating weird situations but there is overarching story about alternate universes, gov't conspiracies, etc. It's kind of like XFiles mixed with CSI and general scifi.

Tried it tonight and fell asleep half way through Episode 1.
But I tend to fall asleep when watching TV at night. I had to rewatch tbe OITNB episode I watched last night because I passed out on that too.
I think I am just really tired!
I will try it again
I really didnt think after watching a bit I would like it, Then made myself continue the episode and landed up loving it and finishing the season in a day.
